Blair Valley

This area is farther south. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but, relatively speaking, Blair Valley seems to be semi-hospitable.

When I first saw this rock, the bit of orange that you see was much more pronounced. I thought, this must be the Indian pictographs I'm search for. Turns out it was a trick of the sun. By the time I had taken the picture, the sun had moved enough that it didn't look all that remarkable.

These are the real pictographs. I read that there are 50 known instances of these things in the park. Of course, the powers that be don't advertise where most of them are.
