Stupid four-wheeler driving losers

"Oh look at me drive my four-wheeler derp derp. I go all day long my thumb is so tired. Let me destroy this road with my knobby tires derp derp. Is that a bicycle I can't tell because of all the noise and dust I'm kicking up I better not slow down derp derp."

I had camped at a slightly higher elevation so I awoke to a comfortable sixty-five degrees. As I made my way west, elevation dropped and it got cold as air began flowing off Lake Superior.

I finally saw a coyote.

There was another touring bike on the road this morning heading the opposite direction as me. I can only assume this guy was just starting out because of his shiny new bright clothes and the fact that he had three times more gear than I do. It made me feel a little less self-conscious.

I biked into Ashland where I put the hurt on the Country Kitchen buffet.

Sadly my main goal for today was to find a good internet connection. Eventually I found access outside the Crest Motel. There I sat on the ground for a couple of hours doing my work while cold air continued to assault me.

On my way out of Ashland I filled my water bottles at an artesian well. I then stopped at the Northern Great Lakes Center to look at their displays. This is kind of neat if you're already in the area.

I made my way through farm country and back into the Chiquamegon National Forest. Stupid four-wheelers. I am now camped in a tree plantation that appears to be the victim of recent clear-cutting and a controlled burn.
