Linville Falls

tl;dr: Linville Falls can induce acrophobia. And deer can induce whiplash.

Today I hiked around Linville Falls. There are several trails that allow you to photograph the falls from a multitude of angles. The waterfall itself is kind of interesting, but the gorge is unbelievable. If you have even the tiniest fear of heights, it will be triggered on some of the overlooks.

I continue to make my way north. You don’t make very good time on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are very very few stretches where even 55 mph is comfortable. Well, unless you’re one of the many mid-life crises guys I see driving sports cars. Also, there are a lot of deer here just waiting to become hood ornaments.
