Mainely Bear Hunters

tl;dr: Not much to report. I am now biking back to southern Maine. No moose.

After a quiet night I spent the morning biking along pretty much alone except for the bear hunters. Bear hunting is a big deal around here. The road was bordered by trees. Most roads have been for several days now. Suddenly, though, I was looking at a big flat wheat field. That genuinely surprised me.

I biked 25 miles before breakfast. This works up an appetite. At The Junction in Brownville I ate a huge breakfast consisting of greasy eggs, greasy potatoes, greasy sausage, greasy bacon, not-so-greasy hash and toast. It was great!

The rest of the day I just kept biking along. I took the Newport/Dover-Foxtrot Rail Trail from Dover-Foxcroft down to Newport. That trail wasn't as nice as the Down East Sunrise Trail. There where more ATVs, and in many places the trail was pretty chewed up.

I actually did laundry. I bought detergent and everything (rather than use a bottle of hotel shampoo like I usually do). My yellow shirt is actually (mostly) yellow again.

And I still haven't seen a moose.
