tl;dr: Amarillo is pretty boring.

I visited the Amarillo Livestock Auction. It is one of about three things to do in Amarillo. I was the only one not wearing blue jeans. Or plaid. I may have been able to offset these shortcomings if I had gotten myself a hat. I sat there for an hour. This is what I saw:

The rest of the week was spent holed up in a hotel room working. I was going to go hiking at Palo Duro Canyon State Park, but the weather was miserable, and then work flared up again. Anyway, here is a view from my hotel window:
