The Mushroom Hunters

tl;dr: I continue along the Katy Trail passing cliffs and caves and mushroom hunters.

Three guys on bikes with light-touring setups came up behind me and passed me like I was sitting still. I'm so slow.

I peddled by a number of people on the Katy Trail hunting for mushrooms. Some were camoed up real well, the better to sneak up on mushrooms I surmise. One pair of guys had so many mushrooms I had to stop and take their picture. They claimed this was a bumper year for mushrooms.

The cliffs along the Missouri continue. There are many caves and even a natural arch. Oh look, more caves! Every once in a while, I'd stop to explore, but these caves have been abused by folks for centuries, so it didn't feel all that novel.

I stopped in McBain at Lucy's for a late lunch. I wasn't planning on taking a long break, but the one lady running the whole joint is pretty laid back. Good burger.

I ended up camping along the Katy Trail in a patch of woods.

Not much else of note today. Look, lots of pictures!
