Ha Ha Tonka

tl;dr: I visited Ha Ha Tonka State Park and generally tired myself out while counting dead armadillos.

Stopped for breakfast at Val's in Gravois Mills. It turns out their One Giant Pancake is not an exaggeration. I'm glad I didn't get the Short Stack. A dozen folks showed up while I was eating, and they all knew each other. I was the only stranger.

I visited Ha Ha Tonka State Park. There is plenty of hiking available at the park. Unfortunately, my faith in fellow man is not such that I would leave my bicycle at a trail head. I did visit the castle and the natural bridge there.

I lost count of dead armadillos and armadillo parts I came across today. Combined with the 90 degree high in May, I guess I really am in the South now.

When I finally pulled into Lebanon on the most bicycle-unfriendly road ever, I was done. Tired, dehydrated and hot, I just knew I had managed some serious miles today. Imagine my dismay when I tallied it up and came to only 53 little miles. What a pitiful weekend. And I'm still sneezing because of all the pollen.
