Farm to Market to Paris

tl;dr: I crossed the border. Now I'm in Paris. I realized too late that tomorrow is a holiday.

I stopped at a Travel Plaza on the Oklahoma border for breakfast, but somebody didn't show up for work, so the grill was closed. Their breakfast burritos weren't bad.

I crossed the Red River into Texas where every road is Farm To Market Road.

My goal for today was Paris, Texas. As I biked along I marveled at the level of patriotism here in Texas. It turns out tomorrow is a holiday. That Paris goal was set with absolutely no notion that Monday is Memorial Day and I could just keep on biking and nobody would know or care. Oh well. I didn't actually figure this out until I had stopped.

As I approached my hotel I spied a Whataburger. But as I approached the Whataburger I spied a Chinese Buffet. Sorry, Whataburger.

Arkansas and Oklahoma sported a variety of wildlife, most of which was represented by road kills. So I decided I'd start chronicling this less active form of critter. Because miles get boring, that's why.

Skunk: 1
Unidentifiable Bird: 1
Armadillo: 2
Buzzard: 1
Turtle: 1
Catfish: 1 (no idea)
Small Ungulate: 1 (pig, maybe; it was not a clean kill)
