tl;dr: Short day. I stopped in Camarillo where I hope to have my bicycle looked at.

After camping in the Boney Mountains State Wilderness Area, I continued following Big Sycamore Canyon Road until it topped out overlooking the town of Newbury Park. I admit I pushed my bike that last mile, even though the road was paved.

I ate breakfast in Newbury Park, then I rode over to Camarillo to wait for the hotels to open up their rooms.

I'm now off the coast, and the general lack of traffic is refreshing. Of course it's also early morning on Easter.

I was sitting on a bench. A crazy lady walks up, pours some coffee grounds in to a styrofoam cup (all the while saying something or other). She offers me the cup. I decline. She sets in on the ground, picks up some garbage, makes a joke (still no idea what she is saying) and wanders off.

One of the restaurants I visited today did not have a "Bathroom is for customers only" sign. I must be getting back to civilization.

My bicycle is making horrible noises in 5th gear. My whole reason for coming to this town is that Bill's Bike Shop promised me they could look at it come Monday. I can hardly wait.
