Rotorua Rain

tl;dr: I stayed in Rotorua an extra day because it was supposed to be cold in rainy. Well, it was cold.

I learned something disturbing. All of the cheap peanut butter I'm finding here in New Zealand is manufactured in China. Irrationally, I have a problem with that. I went to Pack N Save and searched. There is a New Zealand brand, but it's really expensive. So I settled for some peanut butter from Australia.

Yesterday I had hoped to read and be lazy. But the local kiwis staying here decided they were going to start a party. Stupid loud music. So I went and saw some sights. Look, pictures.

The party lasted all night. So annoying. It turns out that there was some property damage and the police had shown up at some point. At least one guy was kicked out of the hostel. There are a few older guys who live here full time. They were quite disgusted by the whole thing. They assured me that this almost never happens, but when it does happen it's the locals not us tourists who are the problem.

By afternoon the hostel was quite full with a wide selection of nationalities. There's even another American here. We are kind of rare.
