New Plymouth

2016-11-22

tl;dr: I made my way south to New Plymouth where I stopped at the Duck and Drakes hostel.

Highway 3 is not fun. People in New Zealand do not know to move their car over when passing a bicycle. It is especially annoying when there is a passing lane and they don't use it.

I biked into New Plymouth. It was mostly uneventful.

I booked two nights at the Duck and Drakes hostel. There are other, cheaper, hostels in town, but I didn't feel like dealing with rowdy kiwis again.

The Three Sisters sea stacks are back there, but you can only hike to them at low tide.

Suddenly Mount Taranaki appears.

This bicycle bridge looks like a dead fish.

I hope these are sweet potatos.

New Zealand takes eggs seriously.
