Another day on the river
2012-06-10 Demopolis >

tl;dr: Another day on the river. But I didn't suffer a major insect bite, so it was a good day.

Another June 9 has come and gone. And still no earthquake. (This is a very inside topic.)

Apparently, this river didn't have such steep banks when the locks were first set up. All the compensating yachts with their ridiculous wakes have eroded them to what you see today. This according to a riverside landowner who used to be able to drive his truck down the bank. I suggested that maybe the yacht captains didn't realize what they were doing. "They know when they hear the gunshots."

The days are sort of running together now.

I stopped early because I could see rain coming up the river. I wasn't too worried about a little rain, but a major storm was supposed to be heading this way. After stopping and finally checking the radar it seems I would have been safe enough continuing on. Oh well.

Somehow I managed to avoid any ant bites today.
