tl;dr: Still have mixed thoughts about my new boat, but I've made it to Panama City.

The cloud mosquitos surrounding my tent was so distracting I had to plug my ears. Good thing I'm in a tent.

When it started getting light out I had to wonder how did all these mosquitoes get in my tent? There were more than a dozen. Furthermor, how is it my face isn't a collection of histamine wheals? I searched and searched for a hole in the tent. I found a very small run in the screen. It doesn't seem like they should have been able to get through that, but it shall be fixed.

The shutter button on my camera stopped working today. Only the movie button works. So if I see something interesting I need to make a movie of it. Later I can either extract frames or compile the frames into a panorama.

I continued down the Intracostal waterway out in to West Bay and then to North Bay and on into Panama City where I checked into the Buckaneer Beach Motel.

I still have mixed feelings about this new boat. It was mostly boring today until I almost reached the coast. There the wind picked up significantly. At times it felt like I was speeding along, but my securely cased smart phone informed me that I rarely reached 6 mph. I could achieve that on my kayak, albeit with much effort and for a short distance.

Unless I somehow change my mind this week, I will probably tackle at least one more leg before deciding if I'm truly bored.

In the meantime, there is money to be spent. This new kayak is not yet properly outfitted. I need rope and more bungies and better-fitting waterproof bags. I also need a new camera.

My new kayak is a sit-on-top. it aplears I may have sunburned my toes.

Another bad video with may barely functioning camera:
